Think I have installed every update except service pack 1 for my system. I just don't see the point in installing it when every is running so great and smooth. All software works and games run great. When I installed service pack 3 for xp I downloaded the complete service pack from microsoft.com If I ever do NEED this service pack I will do the same again.
Tried again with the latest readiness files, and also by downloading the pack first. It's still the same. Network drop outs every few seconds. I'm just baffled now. I'll be upgrading to LGA2011 (or whatever it will be called) anyway, and seeing as SP1 actually give me no discernible benefits, I'll just carry on without it until the new build.
