Just a quick reminder folks, this has got nothing to do with KFA2 so please don't think any less of them in relation to this comp!

Well I'm sorry but seeing as their name is on the prize it's kind of hard not to. How about we get this contest settled once and for all and pick a winner :duh:

That's the point, the prize has already been donated.

It's Dennis Publishing who need to resolve the situation.

In any case, as they've said the winners aren't publicly announced so unless the person who won posts or one of the staffers say comp is over, this thread could go on FOREVAAAAAR!

Eh, yeah, why is this thread still going on? It's over, we notified the winner, and told KFA who that is, and they're sending the prize.

The general rule is that we don't announce winners of our competitions (there are a few exceptions, such as last year's Asus AXGS, but in general, we don't publicise the winner's name.)

Sure, you have to take it on trust, but if you don't trust us, why are you reading all the stuff we put up?

The thread can end now because it has finally been posted that the whole thing is actually over. Its fine that bit-tech doesnt publicize the winners name, but if there would atleast be a post from a moderator saying something like: "Congrats to the winner on winning a new XXX!" that would be quite nice.

Any news at all on a winner being announced is what we have wanted the whole time.

Maybe someone should have made a post here telling us that the winner had been drawn. We're not psychic
Anyway congrats to whoever that mysterious winner is.

Sorry Alex but I have to agree with the other posts above, we do trust you when you put stuff up, what happened here was a breakdown in communication - you didn't put anything up stating that all was done and dusted.

A simple one line post would have been sufficient and would of nipped this pointless thread in the bud long ago.

nice bump incase it was forgotten. also perhaps a reminder to other comps that people enter on bit tech are just to collect marketing data rather than give out a prize?

Nice t&c.. which could mean no one won but no one would know if no one one because they don't disclose winners. In which case its in their favour that this thread could go on forever, because they could infact argue that they selected someone but because they dont disclose this and no one posts that they got the prize then no one will know.

Ah what a cycle, the only winners are the marketing companies.

wow talk about horrible communication? and really??? why would keep something like this a secret, why not post the forum users name here? at least we know its a "real person" and not some corporate bait and switch to get peoples info.

see this is why you publicly state the winner or else people keep coming back asking? talk about a horrible way to do a contest.
