Test your overclocking skills againt Gigabyte and bag yourself a top-end graphics card or gaming mouse. http://www.bit-tech.net/news/bits/2009/10/01/win-gigabyte-graphics-cards-by-overclocking/1
Hmm I have SLI 275s... I cant get good clocks on them though even though they are under water though. That and my Q6600 might hold me back.
So, overclock your expensive top of the range hardware to get the highest score then win some hardware you won't need?
As said above, the point of this is a bit odd, obviously the people who wins have the top end hardware already, and most likely have a fair bit of £££. Where as those who could use the upgrade cant and dont or could even sell it to have some ££. Aw well gl.
Lol such negativity. I can't even enter my 295 sli with 285 physx as your required to use a 260 for October (or so I've been lead to believe by what it says) andy
Ditto. I've just flogged a PC with a gigabyte mobo and GPU's The machines at work are all built about Gigabyte mobo's I'm a big fan of gigabyte. (top notch help, I emailed them about ris support for the mobo's at work and got a prototype bios back in 1/2 an hour which fixed the problem, big love for gigabyte) And my setup gtx280, which is a sweet overclocker (gives factory OC'd 285's a kick up the rs) is no good It's only drawing -ve press, not really what a comp is meant to do
Damn, I would love a 295 but I can't enter as I only have a 8800 gts oc, this is so unfair they should let everyone go in and then give the prize to the highest overclocker in terms of % from stock speed.
+1 there matey! However I think I may just buy a gtx260 and volt mod it. Provided the cooling is good enough I "should" be able to get a nice OC on it.. had a 260 on air at over 800mhz core before so I "could" be in with a reasonable chance if i strike lucky again. Of i dont Ill just sel it. Andy
