    Here is what I have:
    Asus A7N8X DX MOBO
    AMD Athlon XP 2200+
    512 PC2700 DDR RAM
    ATI Radeon 7000 32MB DDR
    Creative 12X DVD ROM
    Lite ON 52x24x52 CDRW
    WD 80 GB 7200 HDD

I have had this set up working fine. I was going to reformat and reinstall XP HOME and all the programs I wanted. Then I was going to GHOST it and then load XP PRO to try it out. After I reformatted, I started to Install XP and after it did its thing and restarted. It said it had recovered from a serious error caused by the video card. Then it just reboots all by itself. at one point I managed to get into the hardware setup and there was NO display adapter listed!!! I have my PC hooked up to a KVM. Could that be the problem? That is the only thing I know that is different. When I get home I am going to check all the card seatings and wiring.

if you where swithing the kvm when istalling try it with out switching it and remember that if it is a manual kvm then it has to be switched to the machine that is booting
