Hi All, I would like to download and burn a Win7 iso disk. I have tried a few times but something is wrong . I start the download and it tells it has downloaded X17-58996.iso. 2.4Gb. When I try to burn it to disk it says invalid which does not surprise me as it only takes about 30secs. can anyone help please.

If it only took 30sec to download the ISO it could be a failed download, or possibly something more nefarious If you are trying to download X17-58996.iso you would be better getting it from the source directly http://heidoc.net/joomla/technology-science/microsoft/14-windows-7-direct-download-links Do note you will still need a legally obtained product key.
Google window 7 download link and use the legit Microsoft site, then why not burn it to a usb stick using the Microsoft tool? Otherwise use isoburn. Matt Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Thanks Corky I will try that, I have a valid product key. To give me some idea how long appsx should it take to download on 6mb connection.
Ozzie I merged your posts - if you come back to a thread rather than make a new post, if you were the last person to post, just edit your previous post. Is just nice etiquette
This is where I get my iso's from when I need them, as they are legit untouched iso's with SP1 already integrated. As long as you have a genuine serial you will be fine with the iso's from Digital River.
And that's why I get my stuff directly from Microsoft's Technet site. Too bad they're shutting the service down.
I meant This site said "Ozzie, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons: Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system? If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation." I could access corkys' link with no problem. Is there a rule for newcomers?
Both damien c's suggested site, and mine use the same Digital River servers for their sources for the ISO's so both come from the same Microsoft service provider for e-commerce. As for this forum saying you do not have permission to access this page. never had that myself so maybe someone else can help, sorry
Heidoc.net webmaster here. The server is currently down. Sorry about the inconvenience. Until we're back, you can look up the links on the Google cache: http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...windows-7-direct-download-links&hl=de&strip=1 (Same for the downloads for Office, Visual Studio etc.)
Bugmenot, did you just happen to stumble on this thread or were you looking for it?! What a massive coincidence if not!
That's what I thought. Thanks to all for your for your help and suggestions. I just could not get it to work in W7. Used XP in the end and did it first time. How do I mark as resolved?
If you edit your original post at the top, you will have the option to changed the thread title and type Resolved or something similar next to the threads name.
