i've installed that on 2 me machhines. it worked on niether and i went back to 2.78

Oh, I likes Winamp 2 better than 3 so I think I will download.

 

i sent them info on it, they said there was some way to patch it (which didn't seem worth thie time to me as i recall it being confusing) and the next version would actually offer full support for windows me. as it turned out they changed something they meant to leave alone which is why the 2.8 i was using didn't work on me. i decided that rather than crashing my computer a few seconds into the first song a few more times wasn't worth "improved cddb support" and getting rid of the update reminder.
