hey everyone, i just registered, but i thought i would post my problems that im having with my computer.

yesterday, out of nowhere, my system restarted itself. it gave a blue screen with a whole screen full of stuff, which went away quickly before i could read anything, then proceded to restart. the only thing i could catch was near the bottom which said "physical memory dump........" since then it has done this 3 more times in windows, and now, it will does this right away, right after it checks the hard drives etc in the boot process, not even letting me into windows.

my brother said it had something to do with my T-Bird 1ghz chip. he said on some of them, they were faulty or something i dunno. anyway, i cant just reinstall windows either because i dont have a cd or disks. so am i SOL now? :duh:

I had a similar problem a bit ago. firstly, in order to read all of what the BSoD says, right click my computer>properties>advanced tab>startup and recovery - settings>uncheck automatically restart.

Reasons for this BSoD are different, for me it was my hdd that was foobared. I suggest you download a memory tester and hard disk diagnostics to check them. Replace any other hardware you can get your hands on to try and determine the problem.

Welcome to the forums btw :D

Also might want to make sure everything's plugged in good. Could end up being something as simple as an IDE cable that's becoming unplugged...

the memory may not necessarily be the issue...i had the same issue yet it ended up being that the hard drive was failing...check your drive also with the memory...i had some other issues resulting in the same problems but i dont remember what the issues were at teh moment:thumb:

you have a driver problem. i learned that a BSoD is aways a software issue. in your case it might be driver. i got that ntfs error thing once when i was overclocking. i tryed to get my comp going at 4.5 ghz and i was like OMG and i had to reinstall because it coruped somehow. just my luck.
