Spent y'day dremelling my window... what a nightmare... Some advice to people ... DON'T TRY Regular shapes without straight lines... Basically I got an ellipse (done properly with a bit of string and all!) and cut it out... It is truly amazing how accurate your eyes are at spotting a naff ellipse!... just plumped for the square in the end.... Does anyone have any nice windown designs?
I've got a few drawn up. I'm waiting for till I get my new Coolermaster case before I try one out though. When I first heard about computer modding, square/rectangle/circle windows were cool. But I think they're pretty much the "mainstream" of computer modding now. I don't think I'm very creative, so they're pretty much just geometric shapes to form patterns... but I think they're better then a normal square/rectangle/circle When case companies start making windows in their cases it's time to find a new design I think.
i just cut mine yesterday......i got my disign from the pacaging my sisters dishes came in......it looks kinda like a cross........i suggest lookin anywhere for a possible design cuz you never know what will pop up
i got mine designed in photoshop, now i just gotta transfer it to my case ;o I figure i'll sketch it on a piece of paper, then get a solid black marker and try to mark it out from there :O we'll see how it works BTW i'm using a jigsaw, heard it takes too much time/discs for dremel, plus jigsaw is a bit cheaper for me, no discs to buy
dremmelling is very quick on aluminium (an hour or so for a simple design...) steel is very wearing on the discs but ally's fine. (plus I don't have a B&D workmake to use a Jigsaw on!)
Already spent alot of time on this sidepanel and i'm still not over 50% done of the rough cutting, thats not a easy design and i did it pretty small. I can't wait to use it on my case when painted Ohyeah the duck has a sniper and its our figure of our clan (rds-clan). *EDIT* as u can see i broke my bit on the S so it aint finished yet)
