Hi Windows 10 does the USB installer need to be formatted NTFS. I formatted it fat 32, it works on laptop but not on Desktop Thanks
Its one if pulled back down from the loft,FM2+ rig listed below sorry AMD Athlon 845 Gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-HD2 16GB DDR3 1600 Mix and match off SSDs lying around OCZ Agility 3 120GB Sandisk plus 500GB and 250GB Gigabyte GT1030 2GB Corsair CX500M The only other image I have is Windows 1903 on DVD and it boots from that ok. Also I managed to install Linux Mint 20.1 from USB ok and Ubuntu 20.04. When attempting to install it flickers the Windows logo for a split second and then goes into a loop, i've tried 2 USBs just in case the 1st is faulty. I plugged the USB into my Dell lattitude E6320 and it loads to the install window.
try in a usb2 port as well. Ive had issues previously with usb3 ports on older hardware. Also try creating a ventoy drive and booting the windows iso from there.
I get USB option to boot from +UEFI USB boot Tried different ports thanks I’ve reinstalled from my 1903 disk image then tried installing from set up file on USB, after hour of updating and installing on to new HDD failed with boot error Restarted with version 1903 after reverting back, it did this when 1909 was installed. All I can think it is a faulty motherboard or not compatible Error 0xC1900101-0x20017 The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation

I went out and bought another FM2+ motherboard with A6 6400k apu sold locally. Installed it and straight from the USB installer it got to the install now screen so I decided to take the APU out of the motherboard it came with and fitted it into my original board without a discreet graphics card. Windows 20H2 installed ok. Decided to but the rig back as it originally was with Athlon 845 back fitted in the F2A68HM-HD2 motherboard with the Nvidia GT1030. Powered it back up and it decides to keep looping and trying to go into Automatic repair but just loops, powered it down disconnected the SSD with Windows on and plugged back in the 2 SSDs with Mint 20.1, Ubuntu 20.04 and Ubuntu 21.04 installed. It worked just fine and I am now typing this in Ubuntu 20.04, so totally confused what the issue with 20H1 and 20H2 is. The fault codes identify it has driver or boot error, I did a clean install using Windows 1909 USB installer I installed every driver before I run the feature update.
The problem seems to be with the AMD Athlon 845 it works with linux and Windows 1909 when inserted into both motherboards
The problem seems to be the Athlon 845 but I can’t understand why. Gigabyte sent me a BIOS beta file. Even though my motherboard was out of warranty by just over a year, I decided to ask the question and they nicely answered me back and sent me the file. Looking at the motherboard page on Gigabyte website the latest BIOS update is listed FC and Gigabyte attached FDb to the support email to try. I flashed it using their BIOS utility and unfortunately no difference, it will boot into any Linux but not newer feature updates just like the previous BIOS update. I reset the BIOS and loaded optimal defaults after the BIOS update. I have been sent a Biostar motherboard in the marketplace and it does work fine with the AMD Athlon 845 and Windows 10 20H2. Gigabyte sent me another BIOS zip file FDc and it booted from USB. Plugged in Windows 10 with 20H2 installed and it did a quick Automatic repair and rebooted fine.
