Storage Windows 10 not recognising new HDD

    Just bought a new 2TB hard drive for my PC and Windows can't find it.

    It can't be seen by the Computer Management - Disk Management

    and can't be seen by the Device Management, and yet its recognised in the BIOS

    So what is going on?

    EDIT: I have tried a different sata cable and sata slot

    3rd party controller that's missing drivers?

    Pretty much the only thing i can thing of off the top of my head...

    That did it, thanks for that. Needed to Install "Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver"

    EDIT: S*** what happened to the old rep system lol? Guess I am getting old now.
