Hi Just installed Windows7 64 Ultimate ...... on 1gb sata drive. However, I have two real fast 15k scsi Cheetas ...... I have installed Vista 64 scsi drivers bingo........scsi drives now available in Windows7!!!!

    Q. 1. Is it possible to do a system backup........and then restore to SCSI?????
    2. Is it possible to reinstall windows......by putting 7 disk in when the system is running???

    Advice appreciated.........

Image the disk with Windows Back & Restore. On the side you have "Create a system image". All you need to restore Windows 7, is your Windows 7 disk.

Inset the disk....... boot from it.....Click on....... repair Windows..... and do........... a......... system...... restore...... :)

If you're restoring to a smaller drive, be sure your backed up partition is shrunk down to a size that will fit on the SCSIs or the restore will fail.
