Has anyone who's ordered theirs from Tesco received them yet? Mine got dispatched yesterday but I don't know whether it was by Royal Mail or courier.

    i had a strange one:

ordered two copies of win7 premium months ago...
one copy arrived yesterday, the other copy arrived today.
both were part of the same shipment (labelled 1of2 and 2of2), not quite sure how they managed to get delivered a day apart

No it's not just you - as I commented before this is the most mature OS M$ have released since Windows 2000.

You will also find once up and running it runs about half as many processes as Vista and uses only 1/3 or so of your memory if you have a decent amount rather than the 50+ % Vista liked hanging on to. :) It's a good OS.

I was using XP before this and not Vista but it's still using much less resources than XP too. :thumb:

The sorting offices are on strike today, delivery tomorrow. So you get your post today, but you won't get any more until at least friday.

Not to mention that items sent Special Delivery/tracked services will still get delivered.

Got mine from play.com today, its a nice touch that they included the 32 bit and 64 bit discs in one pack. Nice job Microsoft, you got something right!

Ordered mine in July at Amazon UK for £44.99.

Due to the mail strikes I upgraded the delivery express delivery.

Had a dispatch email yesterday saying it had been dispatched using Royal Mail Special Delivery and the estimated delivery date was Saturday 24th October... not good I thought but we'll see.

Arrived home from work today to find a "Sorry, you were out" card from Royal Mail through the door saying they have attempted to deliver my package but we weren't at home. It was timed at 13.46 - only half an hour after my wife left to drive to work! Grrr.

Anyway both sets of neighbours were at home, indeed they both work at home (lucky gits!) and Royal Mail didn't even ask them if they could sign for the package.

What is worse is that I now have to wait 40 hours according to the card which means I can't pick my copy of Windows 7 Home Premium up until Saturday morning at 7am (although I won't be there that early!).

    Damn these postal strikes!!!
