Windows Windows 7, SSD and what do I do with Page File?

    If he was being sarcastic then hat off to him for fooling me too.

    The problem is some people actually do still believe you need to move the pagefile, turn off disc indexing, and so forth, so it wasn't clear until you read his last sentence (which I should have done before posting) that he's being sarcastic.

    More likely your sarcasm was so subtle that it was noticeable only to you and Splosh.

    I was definitely being sarcastic, apologies if that wasn't clear.
    I see your point though, some people give out all sorts of terrible advice when it comes to SSDs; stop anything that may benefit from an SSD from using it, waste your money by over provisioning 50% of the drive, and so on...

    Here are some proper instructions:
    1. Install SSD (AHCI mode).
    2. Enjoy that massive upgrade feeling.
    3. No don't touch that setting.

    You forgot number 7 !

    7. add a small white noise speaker to the SSD to emulate the noise of a mechanical HDD.

    My Crucial m4 does that without the need for speaker :sigh:.
