Windows Windows 7: What's your Windows Experience Index?

Specs for the laptop in my sig. I think it holds up pretty well against all of your beastly gaming rigs.

Base: 5.9

with an E8500 @ 4.2 GHz and two HD4850 in xfire

 

Processor: 7.2 - Q9450 at stock
Memory: 7.2 - 4GB of PC8500 RAM
Graphics: 7.2 - 260 GTX (216)
Gaming graphics: 7.2
HDD: 5.9 - Samsung F1

Intel X-25M 80GB G2 arriving tomorrow, so I'm expecting it to score higher than 7.2 on the HDD score.

 

I posted a screen grab of mine on page 1 or 2... but for comparison I'll list equipment also.

Kinda crap when 2 desktop HDs in RAID0 arent rated that much higher than a slow laptop HD.

Certainly happy with a 7.1 overall, though its the M225 that gives the lowest score. Then again I haven't played about wih it as uch as someothers semed to have.

I have my GTX280 clocked to 702/1458/2592, I have it forced to stay at performance 3d levels aswell.. only 6.6?? = (

Pretty happy with that. An SSD will definitely be my next upgrade.

 

Aye, that's the weirdness I get, too. 6.5 for an o/c GTX260/216 @ 648/1512/2520. What version of Win7 are you running and which version of gfx drivers? I was on Win7x64 RC with the (iirc) 191.07 whql drivers.

 

I get 6.9 with my 8800GTS OC'd to 690, 1740, 1960 how do you only get 6.5 with a 260?

Same as you Win7x64 RC Build 7100, 190.62 though, whql.. Do you have a modified .inf for your driver?

there might be something wrong with your gfx drivers - that score shouldnt be so low.

Yeah, not too bad except for the hard drive, which is the second oldest one i have. but i am trying to get used to having a small disk as i really doubt i will be able to afford a ssd larger than a 128... so next month i hope to have i replaced and should be getting a 7ish score with that too i hope.

Not quite sure why my RAM scores so low. I may only have 3gb but its overclocked to 1600mhz. I've just installed 64-bit windows 7, previously I was running the 32-bit rc version and my RAM was scoring 7.4. Any ideas?

Not bad for a 3 year old dell dimension (all stock). Memory is the weak point only 2gb- 5300.
