Rant Windows 8 - WTF?

What the hell was Microsoft thinking? Windows 8 is the most rediculous OS I've ever seen. Just complete and total crap!



I spent hours talking people out of that mistake all day

 

I don't think we need other windows 8 hate thread :/

 

They said the same thing with:
-> GUI interface OS
-> Mouse
-> Start Menu and task bar of Windows 95
-> xWindows in Linux
-> Windows XP Start Menu
-> Windows 7 task bar
-> Ubunty Unity interface
All of whitch people end up loving once they pass the learning curve.
and now Windows 8 Start Screen turn.

You don't like it, because you have no idea how to use it, and don't want to pass through the learning curve.

This is my start screen on my laptop:

If it was my desktop, I would have a group called Games, and pin all my games to it, for instant and easy access. Sure beats starting up Steam, go to the library section, and start a game, and have my other set of games that purchase at GoG or in store in my Games folder.

I timed everything, and for 99% things, I find it much quicker, and require less clicks with Win8 than Windows 7. I positioned my tiles to be be the most used one closest to where you show the start screen, that is how I organized my stuff.

If you have any questions about Windows 8, or need help with, I'll be glad to help. I have using Win8 since developer preview, to ensure 100% compatibility with my software, I was using it as main OS since, and read all Microsoft articles, documentation and blogs and so on, as I always do for any Windows.

Plus, we don't need another 0 argumentative and non-sense Windows 8 bashing. They are enough tech blogs bashing on it with no valid reasons. If something you don't like about Windows 8, that's fine. Me too I have my list. But be DESCRIPTIVE please.

Sorry for being a bit aggressive sounding. You are a cool guy I like you a lot, and willing to help you get the most out of your Windows8. But I am just tired of reading these non helpful posts.

Plus as I ALWAYS said... since I registered to this forum for every Windows: Try for a month or two, as main OS, THEN JUDGE. You can't evaluate something by looking at screen shots or spending 2min or even a day with it.

 

Im with goodbytes.

Its new, and all you will make happen by bashing it without real argument or having given it a chance is have all the sheep blindly follow you (which is maybe what you want).
