Windows windows backup cd problem

    i have a windows XP cd of wich i made a backup a few months ago on my bros comp.
    The prob is i need to format because my windows is currupt and i cant find my original. everytime i copy the backup onto a cd and wait for the cd to boot it dosn't prompt me to press any key to boot form cd. any one knows what program i need to use to make the cd bootable?? and how
    (iv used nero 6.3.0.3)

    can some1 please help dont want to buy another windows XP cd

    You can download the floppy version of the setup from Microsoft, depending on Home or Pro version. Pro version

    Is the cd-rom yu are using set as a boot device? (if you have more optical drives, try all of them)

    and if that doesn't work. Ask someone with a working cd if you can borrow theirs. If you still have the cd-key there shouldn't be any problem.
