hi i was playing f1 on my pc and i alt tabbed, i noticed that a dialog box had appeared "windows has detected a fault with your hard drive", also said that failure was immenent, i decided to run spinrite v6 it came back with the error: Division Overflow error! A critical error accured as: 5672 from which spinrite cannot recover, the system has been halted. i rang scan to say my hard drive was knackered bit they said that i had to send it back to them first so i had no way of recovering data as i have no spare HDD big enough. they also asked me to run the samsung disk utility tool which i did and that comes up with no errors. i have purchased another drive but how do i know if my current drive is any good.
