Hello, I am unable to install many programs lately due to this wretched malfunction. My Windows Installer prompts me with "The windows installer service could not be accessed". I have found a tutorial on Microsoft but it fails to go far in detail ( here is the document). I searched for msiexec.exe and it displays the file location as C:\Windows\System32, however, when I enter the registry>SYSTEM>CurrentControlSet>Services I fail to find MSIserver. I re-download Windows Installer and the problem still exists. Any idea's of how to fix it is greatly appreciated!
