Man, Microsoft Windows ME is a pain! I reinstalled it on two different hard drives but keep having reoccuring freeze problems. It just sometimes freezes for no apparent reason for about 20 seonds then starts working again. Sometimes though it freezes competely and its hard reset. Anyone else get this or know what to do? I think the problem first happens after I install Soundblaster 5.0 Platinum drivers. Not sure though. Could be something totally different.
I know this isnt helpful, but I'd suggest you trash winME. Its the worst interim version of windows ever! Its like win98 + the worst of XP + early-software bugs If you have the $$$, get a copy of winXP OEM. Thats what I did (I used winME before).
