    Hi,

I'm trying to install my new Logitech G5 but windows wont install it, giving me this error:

I've tried installing the Logitech software but that doesn't detect the mouse either.
It's definitely not the mouse either, ive tried my old Logitech MX518 and that's having the same problem.

What's also interesting is that my Laptop has also started doing this with its Logitech VX Revolution.

    Anybody have any ideas?

    Thanks

Have you tried any other mice apart from logitech ones?
    Have you tried different ports?

open up device manager and delete the mouse from that while its plugge in, then try to install it again.

The G5 shouldnt need drivers, generic HID drivers should work

I haven't tried other mice, don't have any.

    Yes port makes no difference.

Thanks for the suggestion but it didnt resolve the issue. As per the image above, it detects the right mouse and has the drivers, it just doesnt seem to want to install them!

The mouse does actually work btw, but because its just running off your bog standard mouse drivers and doesnt even know what the mouse is (says unknown in device manager) i cant change ANY settings in the logitech control panel, which sucks as i cant reconfigure my buttons and so forth.

    Thanks
