Windows Windows XP Desktop and Mouse

    I recently had a virus attack and got it cleaned up but now my right mouse button does not work on my desktop but functions everywhere else. How to i fix this??

    Please run regedit and browse to:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\

    Change the DWORD entry "NoViewContextMenu" value to "0"

    If it already is set to "0" reply to this thread and say so :)

    The only DWORD there is "nodrivetapeautorun"

    Okay, you can create the DWORD and set its value to "0".

    Reboot and see if that resolves the problem.

    I added it to registery but it still will not allow me to right click on my desktop but I can right-click on any other programs.
