Windows windows10 version

    I have a bad memory I knew how to find out what version of windows10 I have, but I have forgot. could someone please tell me. Thanks.:D

    from a command prompt type in winver and it will pop up a box with all you need

    winver should tell you which version/build and which edition ['home', 'pro' etc.] you're currently on.

    For reference:

    Version 1607 [Build 14393] is the 'latest' version, aka the 'Anniversary Update'
    Version 1511 [Build 10586] was the first major update for Windows 10
    and Build 10240 was the 'Launch' version of 10.

    And if the build doesn't match any of those, you're running one of the preview builds [and winver should say 'Windows 10 *edition* Preview']

    Might be related. If you're on the Pro version and aren't getting the 'Anniversary' update then uncheck "Defer updates"
