Oops, that must hurt. Offcourse those fans wasn't spinning at full power, just with 4.5 volts, so i tought that it won't hurt, but never tought that those fans would broke so easy.

Now i know. :) Stupid idea to test it anyway. :D

Hmm. Seems that i need to make better fangrills to the case when i change those fans, never thought that fans really could be dangerous .

I did some cuttings to allow better airflow for the cpu-cooler:

    Marked:

    Used dremels diamond cutting blade:

    And cutted:

    After filing and sanding:

That should help to keep cpu in acceptable temperatures.

    E:

I did little modifying for the original cooler cover:

Sanded off Silverstones logo and anodizing:

Also i'm going to add this kind of acryl part for it, still unfinished. Kind of tear- or waterdrops, depends how one wants them see.

    Just wanted to add those.

Also noticed that cpu-cooler isn't straight, but it can be easily fixed. [IMG]

I dumped that acrylic stuff, it just didn't fit for the "theme".

So, i had made pair of these earlier, supposed to use with the front panel, but dumped that idea.

Now i got some use for it:

I removed one copper fin out of the cooler, didn't need to use any tools, it was easily removed with fingers. Don't know what it tells for the coolers quality. :worried:

    Marked the placements of heatpipes:

And drilled some clearence for tops of the heatpipes, to get this piece closer cooler.

In the picture you can also notice that this part is originally made in three pieces and welded together with tig, had to make it so because i had no enough material in that thickness.

Then i glued it with epoxy:

Hmm. I think it should fit quite well with the other blades? (which are now missing in the picture)

Started to make a "Candle-cam"- mod.

Size of the cam is quite small, this one should end much smaller than first one.

Also i will use polycarbonate instead acryl for the flame part.

Yep, that should be small enough.

    Thanks: DonT-FeaR.

I got some progress for the airguide.

    Cutted some 3mm polycarbonate:

    And here's the part:

Did some filing to ease up bending:

Here's my genuine bending brake:

I started bending under hot water using my hands, then i finished bending with that.

    Here's the another bend:

    And finally test fitting:

That should guide enough air for the cpu and mb.

I Should get this part finished today, maybe more pictures later in this evening.

    Yup, that's really usefull tool.

I added some "thingys", suddenly i don't know how to call those metal coloured plastic pieces.
Cutted them with knife and "tuned" with file.

Not perfect fitting, but good enough, tought:

    Fitted in final placement:

Usually when i get a knife in my hands something happens... so i decided to cut myself for the thumb. :thumb:

    So, no more modding today.

sorry to hear about the cut finger... I just stumbled across this log and am kicking myself for missing it earlier!
This looks great! Excellent artistry with the shaping and designs. A little too sharp and pointy for me in many places, but it looks like this is a great mod. can't wait to see what you do with the webcam.

Actually its not full capping, just some part to guide more airflow for the upper part to the mb-area, instead to be pulled directly out. And thanks for the comment.

As you see that guide is hardly visible, it goes behind the frosted frame and in the upper part its behind that upper blue "blade".

Also i got my new fans:
There are no leds, because i will but some red leds to the frame part instead.

Getting those fans was quite funny, i ordered them from the wrong store, i walked to my local store and asked where are my fans? They didn't have any clue what i was talking about.
So i walked through all stores in Jyväskylä asking if they had any 120mm transparent fans.
Finally i founded the store where has 2 transparent fans, but someone was reserved them, so i asked, "btw, who ordered those...?" I used 2 hours for walking, because i mixed two letters together in the names of those stores. :)

@ ModMinded. Thanks, as i said earlier this case is kind of practising, but i hope that i will not ruin the overall look when doing my experiments. :)

    Update 25.5 Psu-frame welded.

First, sorry but forgot to take my camera with me, so i have no many pictures.

Weldings are now done, heres some pictures when the psu-cover is placed:

Sorry little blurry pictures, i take better ones tomorrow. Clock is 23.00 in Finland so i'm little tired now.

Its sanded to 80- 120-150-180-320 grit with orbital sander now. I have quite a lot of parts waiting for finishing. I just need to start sanding, but that sure is the most boring part.
