Windows WinLIRC - Supports USB?

    Hi there,
    I'm building a cheap HTPC, and I want to be able to control it via Infra Red with a standard remote control, and the best program I have found to do this is WinLIRC. However, I am unsure as to whether this works with USB infra red dongles?

    Anyone care to shed some light on the matter?

    (and before you say it, I have :search: and didn't find anything conclusive)

    depends whether or not it emulates a serial port, if it does your in luck as serial is all winlirc supports. I know lirc supports just about everything
