    took a 30 day vacation back home in estonia... lots of snowboarding... also found some time to take a few shots when i got tired... heres a small selection:

    I really like the orange snow shot. fantastic captures with the sigma 70-300. did you find it auto-focused quick enough for the jump shots?

    @ren thanks :D dont speak russian though (atleast i think thats russian)

    @yeah, got loads of those... the sun was just fantastic that day.

    as for the autofocusing, dont exactly remember... i normally autofocus on the edge of the jump and leave the button half way on... so it works instantly when the rider comes into the shot....
    although, ive catched a few in flight too... the focus speed is totally sufficient... the jumps arent that fast.
    the lens is ok for sports only in the bright daylight though, when it starts to become dark photos will become blurry, even in high iso.
    but i frikin love it! its so fun on the hill... you can actually use the full range all around there... lots of empty space and interesting things to shoot

    Yeah i was just asking what city/town you in Estonia? Tallinn? I am from there so just wondering!
    Pics are very nice and you are lucky with the weather it looks fantastic. Inspires to go for a snowboarding riidee, always wanted it!

    @ren: tallinn's the capital. Only place you can actually have any snowsports here is "Otepää" ... my hometown^^ thanks for the comments :)

    yea... played around a lot with those... nothing came out very good tho... .even this was pretty average without the crop.

    The first set of pictures are really good, especially that last jumping snowboarder one.
