In the Winter my CPU was 28 C and the GPU was 31 C
In the Spring my CPU is 31 C and the GPU is 34 C

What temperature change have you guys noticed?

Mine really depends on room temp as it's normally about 24c in my room so comp sits at about 32-34c and gpu is about 40-42c.

Yeah, my parents always yell at me for turning the heat off. My room is isolated temperature wise. I think I'm turning into a computer, I like it cold :D

hahahahahahaha lol yep me too =D close the door, heating off and extra jumpers on. The old girl likes a draft :p

That said I stability test when the room is warm, dont want no flaky winter overclocks....

Seeing the temps you guys get out there in the winter I bet you could get some insane temps if you tried taking outside air from a duct of sorts and passing it through your radiator. Just extend the tubes on your WC loop a bit to keep the set up a little away from your PC for less condensation. Take some 3-4" diameter flexible tubing from your local hardware store, crack a window and stick it through. Route it with a sort of arch shape to deter moisture coming through.. You'll have some seepage so it's good you like it cold, but it won't be nearly as bad as outside! Also, you'll have to OC pretty hard during particularly harsh blizzards, get some -10F temps outside and you'll need to bring them up quick or else you might still cool things down too much and condense.

    It's a thought for next year :D

My house is cold 24/7 thanks to it being over a century old, so ambient temperatures don't change at all. Unfortunately, i've found that i7's seem to require the equivalent of a fridge to keep cool so it will idle in the high 30's and max out at about 67c under prime. As for my gpus, they naturally ( being Nvidia cards ) have the potential to cause small forest fires if left at default fan speeds so around 75% is the highest i'll go without destroying my ears with the sound of what seems to be small squirrels being blended and splattered against the wallpaper - I'm definitely thinking about the HD5870 cards as a possible future upgrade simply because of the better coolers and lower power drain, especially compared to what appears to be nuclear reactor-like heat production on the Fermi cards. Although, on a good day the first and second cards will run at 36c and 33c respectively.

    I can't say I've noticed a change here. Still around high 60s, low 70s under a prime 95 test.

Surely you will be adjusting your heating accordingly, so the indoor temps are the same now as they were in December? I'll probably not notice a change until summer kicks in, as I have no air conditioning in here.

During my friends uni years, he cooled his computer using tap water. There was no water bill in the dorm/apartment where he was living.

Lol, if you want some killer air cooled overclocks....then middle of winter, open all the windows and put on lots of jumpers.

No good overclocking in the summer my room gets very hot and stuffy.

Folding all summer during my summer placement made my studio apartment tosty and uncomfortable. Folding all winter when i was at university made my room warm and hot while the rest of the house was freezing cold at times.

but during idle, or actual CPU load, no more than 5c temperature difference, which really isn't that much, nothing to worry about.

if you worry about the temperature, just make sure there is a 5c headroom when overclocking, to allow for dust or summer.
