When im trying to install windows, I get alot of errors saying that im missing files. For example im missing msi.dll times.ttf jet500.dll. I just installed a new motherboard and CPU. Any ideas on why this is happening?
I got loads of problems like that because my RAM was part fried. Also are you using original disks ? CDR copies sometimes cause these problems.
Actually, I've tried it with 2 different and distinct copies of WinXP, one real one, and one with SP1 slipstream. OOH! I believe that it's fixed now, I swapped CD drives and it seems to be working properly. 23% so far and it's working. I'l keep you posted as the install goes on.
Oh yes, I forgot to mention that when I used a newer drive on one of the computers the problem didnt seem to occur.
i got windows installed..with 1 small problem.. it not finding clipboard or something..so im in windows..and i try and install the nforce drivers. then i get a blue screen and can't do anything, safemode debugger nothing...any ideas?
ok, so im at the problem now that when i turn on my computer nothing happens, the fans and all go on, and thats it. The cpu doesn't get very warm (20C) and i tried swapping cpu's with an other one...any ideas?
sounds like a b0rk3d PSU to me ... or fried ram ... my ex-roomates box blew a psu,it fried a stick of ram, and a ecs k7s5a(rev3) ... left the 1.2 tbird working just fine ... the cpu is in my fiancees box now working like a charm.
the thing is that i got it working for about 10 min in windows...then wen i installed the nforce drivers all hell broke loose..i really think it isn't my psu. i tryed a diff psu and still problems
