Ive been playing with the "system sounds" section in control panel, and setup a nice sound scheme that fits my new desktop. But what I want to do is this:

When the machine is turned on, loads and goes to the winxp welcome screen to choose user, I have this great wav file that basicaly says "please log in". But I cant for the life of me get it to play when the "welcome" screen loads.

The nearest I can find is the "logon" but thats usless.

    Anyone have any ideas?

The sound schemes are part of the windows profile (ie. each user can have their own scheme), so without some third party software I don't think you can associate a sound file to events before a user logs in.

Even then, I doubt there will be anything that will be allowed to start before a successful login has completed.

Dam, not what I wanted to hear, real shame, would have finished off my scheme perfectly.
