Planning Wire For Extensions?

    I know I have posted this in the wrong place -_- Mod please move this thread to where it belongs please :)

    I am planning to make my own extension cables for my psu and I just need to know what is the wire used in the middle and where can I get it in the uk? Thanks :thumb:

    The middle wire inside the cable, yellow and green? Or the cable between the PSU and the plug socket?

    I used 18AWG wire when I made an ATX extension last.

    You're looking for the metric equivalent of 18AWG of 24/0.2 (it's actually a narrower diameter but still within specification). Maplins sell it although it's overpriced but handy for small quantities.

    I use Rapid 01-1100 and this 01-1145. It is 2.3mm in diameter so 'trains' better when sleeved.

    If you want slightly thinner insulation then Farnells White and Black at 2.05mm thick are good.
