Linux Wireless and Linux

    I was tryin to acess my wireless. iam useing teh utillity provide with my os (Kubuntu) i had it connected the other night but i seem to have lost it again and cant get it back ive tryed manual entering the router details but i still doesnt seem to work any sugestions. Iam new to this so try to bear with me. oh yeh only error iam geting is that 'connection failed'

    You're going to have to be a lot clearer, you need to post your wireless card name and chipset (try running lsusb or lspci depending on how your card is connected) How have you configured the card, and what is the output of "iwconfig"? Wireless cards can be a fiddle to configure, you may be better off with ndiswrapper, and just use your windows driver. If you post this information, perhaps I can help more.

    Maybe a dumb question, but is your wireless interface up? ( sudo ifconfig && sudo iwconfig )

    Iam running a linksys wmp64g, and iam running the last version of kubuntu nt the latest and the software used is verion 0.5.0 i think ill try yoursusgestions later.
