    Whats the best way for me to connect my new build in my room upstairs to the hub downstairs wirelessly?

    Wireless N will give you the best speed wifi. Or try those home plugs. my father in law has had great success with them. He has them linked into wifi hubs to boast speed in various places in his house.

    Everyone I know who whines that wireless is crap uses USB adapters.

    Get a proper PCI card if you're going wireless, just make sure you don't waste money on an N card if your router can't handle it.
    Of course, you could potentially upgrade your router too ;)

    I have a Netgear WN311B.

    It's N class (goes with my Netgear N router), but comes with a proper meaty antennae so signal is nigh on perfect.
    Works very well with Sky routers (re-badged Netgears amusingly enough).

    I used to have a Belkin G class which was also good. Roll with the big names and you usually can't go far wrong.

    I see alot of wireless cards are PCI 32bit. Will the work on windows 64bit?

    dont see why not, you might even be lucky and get windows 7 to automatically find a basic driver for it.

    that card is a wireless n lite card as well, so will only ever reach a maximum 150mb, even on a 300 mb router
