Networks Wireless Trouble... HELP, PLEASE!!!!!

ok, i have a d-link DI-514 wireless router.. and a generic (Texas Instruments) 802.11G PCMCIA card which i use in my laptop.

It all worked fine till windows(as it always does) started to get bloated and needed a good re-install... Now, my connection works, but it randomly disconnects, usually once every 8 to 10 minutes. It is extremely annoying(to say the least) The only way to restore my connection is to pull the card out, and put it back in again. There has got to be somthing wrong with this, I'm pretty sure that it's not just interference...

Any help? i'm an 802.11 newbie... Thanks!
