how the hell do you people keep the wiring inside you cases tidy? i just got a LanFire III case and i have like 1000 wires going around inside it(lie.more like 50) but the thing is i have no more components than anyone else. what do you do to tidy the cables?

First thing is cable sleeving; a must for cable organization

That link above has some other great products to tidy up the cables. Twist ties, electrical tape, all kinds of things can be used to secure the wires to the sides of the case to keep them out of site.
Just set out a path where you want the wires to go to keep them out of site and tape them down.

It's by no means a MUST, some people don't have the money, me included :p
Granted, it does help no end.

I've managed to keep my case relatively tidy, by running the majority of the wires behind the motherbaord tray, and keeping them out of sight that way.

If you can't get sleeving kits, try and get rounded IDE cables, they help a lot.

Well of course its not a must. But if its in your budget, its the first thing you want to do.

edit: You're right, rounded cables are a good idea too. It's more expensive then buying the sleeving but its a lot easier then trying to get the IDE connector off and back on correctly.

SLeeving, good planning at the building stage, and routing wires behind the motherboard are the best ways.

Cable Ties never hurt the inside of my pc. When i ran out of UV reactive ones i just resorted to using those ones you get to tie the top of bags together. :D Very ghetto.
I suppose another link wouldn't hurt anybody so heres a link to an excellent store for little bits of things

Best plan is to spend some time looking at the case and wokring things out. Some things I've done is to swap the hard drives round so that the cable are out of view. Also I've got othe cables tucked into spare drive bays, others run along the bottom of the case at the side. I've also tucked cables in with each other so that they stay in a big clump out of the way.

generally, hiding them behind the motherboard tray is the best bet.

i have a TON of cables, but none of them get in the way of anything, ill take a pic once i finish this damn homework...

well mine aren't hidden(how do you hide the wiring for 4 case fans.two of which can be seen straight throught the X window.)but they are out of the way.plus fan cables aren't long enought to go under the mobo tray nether are any of me other cables.

u could always buy extra cable and do some real wiring, ie removing daisy chanins and actually grouping like-connectors together, etc (lots of soldering)

don't really need to go that extreme tho

    Absolutely....
Usually the main culprits are fan cables, right? They dont mind at all if u lengthen them. Cheap electrical wire, cutters, soldering iron and heatshrink will be your best friend here.
If you need to get that huge, snaking ATX power cable out of the way, i find lashing it to some adhesive cable tie holders (stuck to the bottom of yr PSU) works wonders.

no . twist it. all i did was twist it anti-clockwise and it bunched up and became 'smaller'.try it yourself to see what i mean.
