So i was going to watch a video the other day, and i clicked on my windows media player and went to videos, and this is what happend nearly instantly afther i click videos I've never seent he AAAA.. videos before, searched for them on the comp and can't find them. audio files still work fine. i reinstalled it, and still have the same proplem. vlc plays the videos, witch is what i use when i watch movies any way, but i still liek to have every thing working, any one had simular proplems/sugestions/ansers? i recently went to a lan with this system and had media sharing enabled, is it poible its lockign up looking for the missing files from there computer or something like that?
This is strange. Try his: - Uninstall WMP11 - Uninstall ALL codecs (could be a codec conflict, as WMP tried to get pictures of videos) - Restart your computer - Install WMP11 - Get such codec pack: http://www.free-codecs.com/K_lite_codec_pack_download.htm See if that helps.
I think you're on to something. Have you tried resetting the media library? I don't ever use WMP11 but I reckon that it just like Winamp will let you reset its database so it'll have to rescan your hdd.
Well i tried one of these methods, (http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4500) i can now access the library, but i can't delete the AAAAAA... videos., when i right click them i get a video name that is on my local drive. but the file is not there.
