ok, this isnt really a fix - more like a bypass......

    try Media Player Classic.

To help fix your problem, within WMP, go to options & then performance. Make sure the acceleration is set to max & you could change the video buffer to 5 secs or more.

Codec packs are evil, especially the KLite one - how many DivX/XviD decoders does someone need? There's at least 5 in KLite! I'm not sure what might be affecting WMVs however.

The only codec pack worth using is CCCP.

The CCCP pack is the best and combines all decoding badboys like FFDShow and MKV's and some players all into one small package.

No, all you need is ffdshow and a few standalone ones, likes ogg, flac, divx and Cyberlink's h264 decoder.

If you've got a nvidia card, try resetting the overlay colour settings, i had no problems with avi's, but once when I formatted and reinstalled, all the colour settings were borked after installing the nvidia drivers.

THE Best Codec ever made! I use it, It's run every thing in the world! The best.

I don't know about your WMP's files but I think that they use some thing like liacnes or like access card or some thing like this.

    Good luck.

If you get VLC player, it plays pretty much plays everything known to man. Haven't had a file not play in it. I do have a few codec packs though.
