    its not for a network card, i need 5v live in my case for a mod all the time and thats all i can think of thats live while my pc is "off"

    Some mobos have 5V on the USB whilst off/suspended.

    honestly dunno! all I can remember is it was an AMD skt A Mobo (def not that one mind :) And damn thing put out enough on the 5V line to keep the relay latched - so had to swap to the midi port to get 5V that switched off with PC! :)

    Look for a motherboard ATX connector pinout and find the wire that's labelled +5VSB (+5 volt stand-by). If you don't mind cutting a PSU wire then just solder in a connection. If you do mind then find a cheap ATX motherboard extension cable and cut that up instead :D
