Is suing everyone in sight an American pass time? We hear about it a lot on the news, but it sounds like people are using the ability to sue as a kind of retribution button.

I think this is just taking things too far. Now i have seen people sue over a satnave leading them into a river which i thought was bad enough, But this is just a new level of stupidity and i think this woman deserves to be hit by the car for being stupid enough to walk into the highway.

She's even suing the person who hit her.. What were they supposed to do when someone appears in front of them who shouldn't be there!?

Does that mean if I ask for directions and they neglect to tell me to stop at traffic lights I can sue them when I have a big accident.

There are no words for this woman's stupidity.

What I really hope is that in summarily rejecting her case at the first possible hearing, the judge tells her in no uncertain terms that she's a dribbling moron quite clearly unfit to leave the house unsupervised, let alone operate such complex technology as mapping software and BlackBerrys, and promptly divests her of both.

Oh man I would be pissed if I were the driver. Google won't care, the driver however has his car wrecked, probably got the scare of his life and now he's being sued by a cùnt who might actually win and ruin a part of his life

She will probably switch to mapquest at some point... When she does, I hope it leads her on a train track

Unfortunately that is unlikely to happen, as the USA has apparently made the possession of common sense a felony. :wallbash:

It's easier to sue in America because of all the no win no fee lawyers and ambulance chasers.

You sue someone, they counter-sue. Lawyers get very rich; society gets very poor.

Hey presto, they can drop all charges on account of that. It is her own damn fault not reading the huge highlighted yellow portion.

I believe her argument is that the Blackberry version does not have that disclaimer.

Wish people like that could just drop dead.

Even without a sidewalk, walking on the shoulder of the road is still fairly safe. What kind of idiot thinks its safe to walk down the center of any street?

Also that article states that she is a " California native " but in our local news she is listed as a " California resident " :D Neither state wants to claim her as being one of theirs

I'm surprised she has the mental capability to use her Blackberry. Why do Americans sue everyone.
