Finally after 2 failed attempts I just passed my driving test 20 mins ago and so happy :)

The first 2 fails were stupid stupid mistakes on my manoeuvres. I failed my first test because I finished in the bay about a foot away from the kerb. My second test failed because I hit the kerb on my parallel park. Both were very silly errors but today I did it.

My manoeuvres today were a reverse around the corner which I aced in all 3 tests and I also finished the test with a bay park which I still got a minor for because I did not look over my right shoulder enough, relying on my mirrors.

Did I say im so happy  Now I feel dehydrated and got a head ache but I don’t care

Thanks. Im not going to be getting a car anytime soon. Main montivation for a driving licence at 28 is so I can get a promotion and the positions I want require a driving licence. Now I can move forward :)

Well done, I failed three times before I past. If you can get a car for cheap, I would, it's amazing how much more freedom it affords you.

Well we may be going to the USA this year to visit family and I would love to drive along Route 66.

Its something Ive been wanting to do for a long time and now could be a posibility.

congrads! Also, failing on manouvres is the best bit, it doesnt matter if you knock the curb a bit once you've passed, its all low speed, the important bits are the awareness etc.

    Top work

Congratulations, I'm about to do my third test on tuesday. Although I should have passed last time really, makes you question the testing methods when the examiner is happy with your drive but isn't allowed to pass you because of the bureaucratic nature of the test. You would have thought common sense would prevail but it seems the government has put a ban on that.

Good news, now you have to go for a long drive, somewhere random. EasyRider style, without the shotguns though:thumb:

congrats on being a driver and stuff!

i passed first time - nearly hit the kerb on parallel parking though. had to start over twice; she would have failed me if i fluffed it one more time.

my other manoeuvre was reverse around corner (NOBODY EVER DOES THIS IN REAL LIFE WHAT THE HELL) where i thought i had mounted the curb, and upon thinking this promptly headbutted the steering wheel in rage (well, it was more of a violent resigned slump). but it just turned out to be a very deeply recessed drain that i didn't see! woot!

ALSO! i had to mount the curb when the bus was blocking the way, but didn't know whether i should wait or mount it, fearing the fail. so i asked the examiner whether i should mount the curb and she shrugged and nodded. so i assumed all was well.

it was a test full of suspense, i'll tell you that! i honestly thought i'd failed.

They auto fail you in the UK for hitting the curb? In the US we are allowed to try and correct once if we screw up.

    Congrats on the pass :D
