Right, still copying stuff back to my iMac, but heres some screens taken during me configuring a few things etc.

I've not finished taking the screens so more will be added, and the ones that are there already may be renamed :)

Text explanation of most of the screenshots to follow

First time up, after only setting up networking (took me 30seconds)

    aboutthismac.png
The Tiger About this mac box

    dash_default.png
The dashboard as it come up the first time you hit F12

    dash_changed.png
The dashboard after i'd added and removed a few widgets, more to come when i've experemented with the downloadable ones :)

    mail_newaccount.png
The "wizard" for making an email account in mail, in the account type drop down is - .Mac, POP, IMAP and Exchange

    mail_mainwindow.png
Mail's main window, not much to say about it, except everything seems to be in the right place, searching email is instant! even through the spotlight button in the top left of the screen

    multiple_copying.png
Copying files from several locations, the amount of time it says is left was about right

    rss_short.png
Viewing the apple hot news RSS feed in safari 2, and article length set to it's shortest

    rss_long.png
Same as above, but with the article length set to longest

    rssfeedscreensaver.png
RSS feed screen saver, fully 3d and very animated, the news items swing round followed by the next, pressing the key it says loads the article in safari, very cool

    spotlight_im.png
    Using spotlight, with "im" entered

    spotlight_imag.png
As above, but with "imag" entered

    spotlight_images.png
Again, as above, but with the full word "images", each search takes aprox 2-3 seconds to find the files, and about the same again to load the icons

    spotlight_sysprefs_dash.png
Last one for now, again using spotlight, but this time in system preferences to find the dashboard panel

    ***** ***** *****

Anyone want a more specific thing in a screenshot just ask and i'll do my best :)

"Patients" is a virtue in my line of work. What you are looking for is probably "patience".

Spotlight: Awesome. Finds the most bizarre things with the most innocent searches.

Dashboard: Fantastic and with some additionally groovy new widgets already out there. One flaw seems to be the fact I cannot get the likes of the Yellow Pages and weather widgets to work locally (weather for London, no thanks).

RSS: Perfect execution and presentation, although takes a bit of fiddling to get a personalised list of feeds in the bookmark bar rather than the million assorted RSS's it comes with (and the smaller sites have been ommitted in the interest of protecting their bandwidth, which equals a fairly dull, N.American centric list of RSS).

General: Seems much faster on my iMac G5. Certain applications and task seem slightly quicker although Safari sometimes pauses mid-render (dunno why). Also my Airport reception is slightly improved (Bonus!).

Dunno about the yellow pages, but the weather one can get closer than just London, mines set to oxford, Benson (RAF Benson pretty much) works too, however, i can't get post codes to do anything

Adding stuff like Newcastle only gives me the American version, in MA or ME not the UK city. You sure you're getting Oxford, England? Most other things it wont recognise (post code, county, specific cities like Sunderland).

Tell me about it. Amazing concept, putting the OS DVD in, pressing 'Next' a couple of times, come back in half an hour and it's installed.

    Incredible concept, isn't it?
