    seeing as how i'm ridiculously excited about Fable, for xbox, how i just happen to have my computer in a wooden treasure chest, and how i really want to do a Fable mod, even if it's small, i was considering etching an image into the wood on my case, if deemed possible in a 'that looks cool' sense

    so, the image

    [IMG]

    i'm thinking one or both of them. that's a picture from when Fable was known as "Project Ego," a piece of concept art. I really like the facial hair of the right man, it's ridiculously awesome, but that's not why i'm here.

    my purpose here is to determine the method the most elite of bit-tech's members [or all of you ;)] would use to 1. transfer the design to the wood for etching [this is not cutting, taping paper wont quite work] 2. etch the image in. as i was writing this i actually got the idea of using a wood burner, which could look mighty cool, and i might know someone who owns one. by wood burner i mean the tool that burns at the tip to sortof etch, and sortof burn, the surface of wood. it may go by a different name, may look nothing like what i picture, but could still look awesome.

    at any rate, i need to know what you all think about transferring the image. my only idea is printing it out the size i want onto white paper, taping carbon paper onto my case and the image over, then tracing with a pen so the carbon transfers to the side of the case, and then using that.

    let me know

    I'd say it sounds like a quality idea, just be careful with the woodburner. They typically burn very quickly, so you'll have to be quick with your hands if you don't want wide lines.
