You can get pretty much any small rubber washers from True Value and Ace Hardware, here in the US. Not too sure if you can order them or not. They're in the Hardware (screws, bolts, nuts, etc...) eisle in the special small plastic drawers with the lids on them.
mayby you should put somekind of paint on the PSU that it would "melt iin with the wood" aldo it's on the back side so mayby it dosent matter but it looks awesome
hmm, I'm thinking it would probably look better black (or silver) but.. that'd involve disecting my CDrom... and there's no guarentee it'd work after i'd set about it.. I was thinking this too, you have to remember this is only a test system.. I'm hoping to either get a sexy black PSU (to melt in), or something more shiny (to stand out) dunno.. http://www.matrixorbital.com/pages/default.asp seems a good place to start. I was going to purchase one of a guy of the forums that was promising to sell them pre-wired for a small price.. but alas he seems to have disappeared... Hmm, I'm in the UK, any ideas on a UK supplier.. that doesn't charge a small fortune? I guess there's always cutting up rubber pipes if i get desperate..
Dude, this mod is totally awesome. I love the sha[e, and it looks wicked when lit up. Just a question though, how much does it weigh now its built?
That's a good question .. so good a ran off and found some scales to weigh it with.. That's around 13kg.. I had no idea what that meant, so i ran off and weighed my chieftec.. 17kg! I was thinking the wooden case would be a lot heavier (feels it)
looooks killla!!! makes me wanan go buy tools so i can mod! why must i be broke!!!!!! alos, i really like the lcd lets see that bad boy come to life
Looks good. You may want to consider putting some waterproof coating on it, sinc accidents happen, and if you go to LAN parties, you want to have your computer survive if it starts raining.
There be about 4 coats of varnish on it, thar be no water coming thro the wood! I'd say it's about as water proof as any standard PC case..
