im thinkin of makin a case boxed shape with two floors and i was wondering if the mobo can just be skrewed into the wood (proper skrews obviously)
so basically my question is if i have to put something between the mobo and the wood??

Should be alright. Basicly the same idea as in a normal case isn't it.
In case you're thinking about slapping it directly to the wood, shouldn't give any problems, wood is a good insulator. But why? Get yourself the brass stand offs, drill the necessary holes (roughly half the size of the screws), screw the standoffs in the holes and just put your mobo on those. To be on the safe side, you could use some superglue to secure the screws in the holes.

    Have fun...

Get some standofs to control the temps on the mobo as wood will insulate heat in the mb and possibly damage it. Other that you should be ok.
