Absolutely, in France they get 4 bank holidays between 1st May and 1st June - they celebrate the end of WWII and we don't. Perhaps we'll get an independance day when we detacth from the EU? Happy Independance Day + 1 to the Americans.

Denver area had rain, hail, street flooding and canceled fireworks displays. Marilyn did her grill thing with the burgers about 10 minutes before the rain came. john
I celebrated 4th of July at work. Yay crappy shifts. This is the first year that I haven't celebrated with a nice fireworks war. I really need to get the video up on youtube or something. For those that don't know people use bottle rockets and roman candles, and shoot them at each other. Our group goes a little overboard. Last year I had about 50 lbs of roman candles duct taped to TV Tray base. Groups of 9 roman candles connected with longer wicks so I only needed to light about 10 times instead of 90 I lost almost all of my facial hair . The only female that was participating lost half a pigtail. It was good old fashion stupid fun.
