Modding word processor display

    anyone know a way to add a WP display to my computer to display various information ?? similar to a LCD....

    Welcome to the boards!

    Sorry about this, but unless you have an LCD that uses a common controller (HD44780 or compatible) you're probably out of luck, or at least stuck writing your own software.

    how would i find out if its compliant ??
    it has a nine pin male connector on the end

    Is that 9 pins with a separate power connector? Any of the outputs labelled on the pcb? Any chips on the pcb labelled?

    it has its own power cord... its basically just like a monitor with a different connector
