Calm down - I've never seen someone being told to calm down get anything other than more angry/upset.

    YOLO (You only live once)

Every time I hear this I want to shoot someone in the face. Like I don't already know I only have 1 life.

so that's what YOLO stands for! :jawdrop:

lol, I don't think I am. In fact, people who've met me would say I'm boring. I just live by this and happy with my small circle of friends.

    Any/all of these:

    You know/see what I mean...
    You get me...
Can you see where I'm coming from...

and I'm going to brutally murder the next person who says this in my presence -

    Moving/Going forward...

Watching ESPN America, "you know" is said at least 20x times in a 2 minute interview. :wallbash:

    Americans.

And yes, YOLO is just a stupid excuse for people on Facebook ect to lay around and do even more stupid stuff than they were doing before.
    "Just had a beer, YOLO."

    No.

Close this now because you cannot top the sheer idiocy of the people that dare utter this tosspot acronym in a blind attempt to sound cool.

You say YOLO, I say FOAD.

I don't think any of these are meaningless, I just think they're overused.

"You know" IS meaningless. It is a filler word, meaning nothing.

An example for you : "Like, you know, these words mean absolutely nothing, you know.". This is how some people talk. Did the "like" and "you know" have any meaning in that example ? No.

Whilst people who put 'you know' or 'like' after every other word do my head in that's not quite what I meant...

You know what I mean.../you see what I mean...

Should really have put it as two separate things

We all do. But as a play on words, in Latin, we instead say volo, which means I want (to), for any crazy story we get given.

Expect the variants nolo for exams, and malo for cake day.

I know how sad that is.
