I was put on a work trial years ago I was running their warehouse everyday on my own, and the manager even had the cheek to turf me out of the canteen when I was there 5 mins after my break, I very nearly knocked him out Then at the end of my 1 month trial they had an open day in store to recruit people for christmas and they didn't even tell me until I was leaving on my last day......."oh if you want you can apply we are taking people on" I just felt they were taking the piss and exploiting desperate people for free labour it's about time people stood up and said enough of this BS. You work, you get paid that's the way it's always been, not happy then let them go !! Since when did you get a free sample ?? Mp's say that you are getting paid (benefits) benefits are not wages, benefits stop you from starving while looking for work, anyway after the scandel of mp's helping them selves to tax payers money they really need to.......... STFU.
I agree, it's disgusting. It also has been shown by many studies to not work very well, especially not in times of high unemployment. Essentially what the government are doing right now is offering long term free labour to large businesses. They will, quite obviously, not pay people £6 an hour if they can get people for free, and as such this is what is happening. I would be shocked and appalled that the government is forcing people, essentially, to work for around £1 an hour for the benefit of private business - then I recall that the government are tories, and that this is what they're supposed to do. Don't blame the politicians, they were raised to be bad people. Blame the country for making a crappy decision.
That is genuinely awful... Take the people that don't need benefits off them, and watch how fast things change, and watch the willingness to do a job go up...
