I'm not one to moan about too much and ranting about work at this sort of time annoys me, if you don't like your job, quit, but don't expect to find another in this kind of economic climate; yesterday, however, really pissed me off.

I got to work (Subway if you don't know, part time job as I'm still in full time educ.) at 4pm, we open at 8am and morning people come in at about 7.00 ish to set up. So someone has been there for a good 8 hours if not more, we do the change over (which she doesn't help me with what so ever), so I count the till look at the sales and what not, been a bit of a slow day, taken in just over £400 overall in the 8 hours we've been open.

Go out back, walk past the bread cabinet, hmm, not many breads left, the oven is off so it looks as if there wont be many breads left for the rest of the evening.

Get to the sink, there is the whole day's worth of washing up which took 40 straight minutes to get through; usually there should be about 10 minutes worth of washing up from the evening only.

At the end of the night, we close at 9pm, there were 17 breads left in the bread cabinet, we're usually left with at least 70 to be used the next morning and breads take about 2 and a half hours to prep and cook from the frozen dough.

We close up at nine and there's still quite a bit to do, it's usually meant to take half hour with 2 of us working to cash up and clean up. On Tuesday we finished an hour late and I didn't want that again as I got home at 11, walking through high street el chavo.

We got out at about 21.45 after doing things a bit half arsed. Come Friday when I'm next on and someone is getting a big facking earful!
The whole thing about Subway is the emphasis on team work, fat lot of ****ing good that is!

    That sucks.. :(

Why don't you phone/email your manager and politely say what happened? He can then explain to them what they need to do...

    Ive had this before.

Just explain exatly what the problem was when you dropped into work, as the person who is on the last shift you will always get the knock on effects of a slacker.
