After being asked to do a workshop walk about I thought might make an interesting thread for people to see what we work with. I do a lot of commissioned metal and glass work so not necessarily computers, So I'll start from the glass section and work round the workshop, the workshop was originally two rooms until I took the wall between them out. First is the main kiln in which I do slumping/ fusing/ and casting glass also I do some enamelling in this kiln Next is the gas/oxygen torch this is where the off/ on mandrel work is done Most of this work uses the smaller kiln So next is where we cut and larger size glass although the cat's have claimed it for laying on lol The mill is next it has a power feed that make's life really easy Then the Lathe And last but not least the CNC I built definitely my favourite machine. And of course a mig welder no workshop can do without one I also have a sheet metal bender but can't find the space to fit it up. So that's my workshop, It would be good to see other peoples
Lol no I bought this and another down the road for cash, Mind they was a lot cheaper then and it was either redecorate or build the workshop guess what won lol
Also, You sneaky devil. You have all the potential for making some serious rig bling, and we have seen nothing. I suspect you saw that thread about using glass-blowing/bong tech to make a reservoir, right?
Believe it or not I've been making copper and glass butterfly's and will be doing some Ankh's and eternal knot's from copper and enamel. Also some Christmas dec's from aluminium and stainless steel the CNC can do some pretty intricate designs even in stainless.
That would do less damage than a large dog. A swimming pool in the garage was the reason for our last eviction.
Too cold for swimming pools here, got a small river at the bottom of the garden although next doors has a hot tub lol
