    So says the Reg:

A former New York computer help desk technician yesterday pleaded guilty to playing a key part in what prosecutors reckon is the largest identity theft case to date.

Philip Cummings, 35, pleaded guilty to conspiracy over his central role in a scam believed to have hit upwards of 30,000 victims and cost millions through fraudulent transactions. At the time of Cummings' November 2002 indictment, investigators had confirmed losses of more than $2.7m in connection racket. Losses from the racket - which ran for approximately three years - are now estimated to exceed $50m.

    More here

Ah, Mr Cummings - welcome to Sing Sing. Your new identity here will be Loretta, E-Wing's bitch... :D

Shame on him for getting caught. Bet he got quite minted out of that.

Hopefully he had the sense the stash it away somewhere so when he does get out of prison he'll be singing "Early retirement".

So you're telling me if I get good at being a criminal, and I steal from 30,000 people, I'm only looking at 14 years? ****, at that rate I'd be retired by the time I was 40 (including jail time)... That's better than most honest people can expect.
    I say open up Alcatraz.

Yea i was thinking the same thing, except i would turn myself in after the 30,000. That way i only get to spend maybe 7-10 years with a big black guy named Bubba.

LOL, as if it wouldn't happen if it was you. :)

The real problem is trying to convince Bubba that you're good for $10,000,000 :eyebrow::lol:
