Just bought this on a crazy whim today based on the fuuuuuuun times had on the PS1 version, and of course the amazing Worms homage of online Gunbound. It's awesome as expected - although more variety in the map graphics, and the ability to play 8 player games would have been better still. You can't really kill such Gold gameplay, and for 800 points it seems a sound investment until I get GRAW2 in a week or so. Anyone else?
Yeah I was looking at it. I remeber the great times staying up all day ever day in my student house with 8 of us playing the PS1 version on my PS2. Its the main reason for my own PS2 that died. I was tempted but 800 points is like £6.40 or something and I think its a little much for a old retro game. There a few games on live arcade I would like, but think the cost is too much. Maybe if after I bought the last 6 games I want on 360 like GRAW 2, Fonza 2 etc then maybe ill reconsider the live games and buy them. If Metal Slug or Bomberman was on Live arcade id buy them regardles of the cost as they were amazing
yeah, I bought Worms. It's a blast in multi-player, although I think it could definitly have done with the worm switch ability and a few more weapons/backgrounds (I smell a downloadable pack on the horizen). It was probably stripped down to fit in the 50mb limit (which has now been increased)
I want Worms2 from the PC to be put on the arcade, it was the best of the Worms series. I bought worms, but when I saw, what, 22 weapons? I was disappointed. No Grandma, no Cow, no HOLY HAND GERNADE!, no super banana, no supeer sheep. Can't change the weapon's settings, only 4 worms, no custom map feature. All that aside, it's a fun fun game. Much better with Live, being able to make fun of people when they gernade themselves. 800 points? Nah, worth 600 tops. :/ -CollinstheClown
I hope the downloadable stuff is free. I'm assuming it will be forthcoming based on the download option in the game menu.
No custom map??? man for what they are charging theres not alot there. I might as well go get worms 2 on pc for £2. You can record your own voices too. But said that I will probably buy the live arcade version anyway at somepoint.
